Nowhere Quite Like North Wales?
In the heady days of the 1960’s, our chairman and founder travelled the forty odd miles from Liverpool to settle in the relative fresh air of North Wales. It was there that he married his childhood sweetheart, settled down and started Worldspan. The rest, as they say, is history!
As a leading event management company, our events team have designed and delivered events in every corner of the world, from events in the UK, Europe and Africa to Asia, North America and Australasia - there is no shortage of pins in the world map of places where we’ve been! With such a record of global delivery, we are often asked where our favourite destination is, whether in the UK or further afield. That is never an easy question to answer - sure we all have our personal favourites but, in designing and suggesting event formats and destinations, it’s the client’s objectives that are the driving force of where we operate.
So what IS the answer to the sixty-four million dollar question? Where IS our favourite destination? Well that’s where it all came unstuck! It proved impossible to get a consensus in the office (that’s what 35+ years of event delivery does!), so I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree. What all of us could agree on, however, is that we are fortunate to live and work in an area with such stunning natural beauty on our doorstep. Whether walking or climbing in Snowdonia, mountain biking or even sailing on the Irish Sea, there’s plenty of inspiration at hand. Have a peep at Visit Wales and hopefully you’ll agree….
